Expectation — The 12 laws of breakthrough

Itai Chipunza

MOST things around us are made possible by expectation. Sounds very simple when put in a sentence in this manner. But most people really don’t get it. So people pray the same prayer for decades and yet seem to never get what they want. It is always a near miss. They always almost get it. Let’s use law to explain. God created everything once, he will not do it again. Within all things God created he has placed ability to reproduce itself many times. He has placed laws to keep the entire world functional and with no need for Him to recreate. From complex laws such as law of reproduction of both animals and plants, to simple laws of wealth creation and breakthrough, God has made these to ensure that there is no need for him to create man again.

In Acts 3 there is a simple passage which contains the law of breakthrough. Breakthrough is the final product, but a long list of other things have to take place before it actually manifests.

Acts 3:1-10

3 Now Peter and John went up together to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour. And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms from those who entered the temple; who, seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, asked for alms. And fixing his eyes on him, with John, Peter said, “Look at us.” So he gave them his attention, expecting to receive something from them. Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. So he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them — walking, leaping, and praising God. And all the people saw him walking and praising God. Then they knew that it was he who sat begging alms at the Beautiful Gate of the temple; and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.

Together — law of agreement. The word says two cannot walk together unless they agree, some versions say unless they are of one mind. For breakthrough process to start, you must agree with God on what you are doing.

Hour of prayer, the ninth hour — the law of timing. Even in a situation where you are qualified for a job and the company wants to employ you, if you always turn up when there is no vacancy, you will always seem to miss it. Learn timing, do not just jump into the things because you can. Do it at a perfect time to get maximum results.

Whom they laid daily — the law of routine. Repetition is the father of learning. If you want to learn something, repeat it. If done all the time and appointed times, it becomes routine. For breakthrough to come, there must be a routine that you repeat daily in a bid to see the breakthrough manifest. If it’s buying a new house, then it is wise for saving money to be part of your routine. Get used to not having all you want to buy and place the funds in a savings account.

Temple which is called Beautiful — the law of excellence. It’s always wise to be the best at what you do in order to get results. If you wish to pass at school, no one must study like you do. You must have an excellent method of study in order to retain information for the exam.

Peter and John about to go into the temple — the law of access. Gain access to things that make your breakthrough closer. If you wish to be a doctor but have no necessary passes to be admitted into medical school, access to content on what is required to be a doctor is very limited. But when the medical schools view you as a potential student, they give you access to books and information that will help you make an informed choice. Equip yourself to gain access close to what you wish to see manifest.

Look at us — the law of focus. I have written extensively about the law of focus. But essentially it helps you to make quick progress towards your desired goal. Focus is essentially staying at that one single thing until you have mastered it and can manipulate it to achieve many different results.
