THE national broadcaster – Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC) – must move with speed in establishing a standalone sports channel, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Mr Nick Mangwana has said.
In his address during the Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Ministry strategic workshop going in Vumba, Permanent Secretary, Mr Mangwana said:
“The Minister speaks to the need for a dedicated sports channel for ZBC and we should make it a reality. ZBC has a reserved frequency and all they need to do is to uplift and get the licence from BAZ to make it happen. If it is not happening, then it has to be part of our deliverables for 2026. The money is there.”
