Explosive Bosso AGM on

HIGHLANDERS Football Club members will for times without number meet at their clubhouse in North End in what is expected to be an explosive Annual General Meeting (AGM) pending executive election a week later.

It is at the meeting that Bosso’s paid-up members will review the club’s performance in the field of play and boardroom mapping the way forward amid the club’s close to two decades-barren stints of being eluded by the Premier Soccer League (PSL) title.

Bosso has since 2006, played second fiddle to Dynamos, Chicken Inn, CAPS United, FC Platinum and Ngezi Platinum Stars in a bid to clinch the country’s top football gong.

Last year, after going for an impressive 19 unbeaten run, it was another so near yet so far story for the black and white who fizzled out of the title contest in the second-half of the season, to gift the title to Ngezi Platinum Stars on a silver platter with a golden spoon.

Incumbent Bosso secretary-general Morgen Dube said members will debate on minutes of the previous meeting. This will provide a recommendation on whether recommendations by members were implemented and with what degrees of success if not only perhaps remedial action taken. The chairman’s report will be read and subjected to a debate before adoption.

Explosives are expected as the club has been found wanting on the field and also the office squabbles emanating from alleged financial scandals involving the office and management.
