venues will have something to fall back on in the form of a potentially explosive gig that will pit two of the country’s hottest young musicians, Suluman Chimbetu and Jah Prayzah.
The gig will be held at Zimunhu Bar on Saturday in what promises to be the show of a lifetime for the folk of the peri-urban settlement.
This will also be Jah Prayzah’s maiden performance at the joint that has played host to the likes of Tryson Chimbetu and Peter Moyo, who left people in the area yearning for more with their joint act.
With sungura and dendera having been denied a slot at Hifa, Sulu will use the show to prove that musicians of his ilk are among the best in the country.
The artiste — who recently had a live DVD recording at a leading joint in Harare — will be fired up for the gig and revellers are in for a show of a lifetime.
He is also expected to sample some of his new songs alongside those that have made him a hit among music lovers.
Jah Prayzah, on the other hand, needs no introduction in music circles.
He is currently on top of his game with a catalogue of hit songs like “Ngwarira Kuparara” and “Gochi Gochi” among others.
