Fabregas could sign for Gunners

Fabregas emerged as a surprise target for Arsenal after reportedly becoming frustrated with his treatment at Barcelona in recent months. The 26-year-old is known to have met with manager Tito Vilanova to discuss the problems, and had suggested earlier this week he would definitely be staying at the Nou Camp.

However, according to Dein, whose son Darren is Fabregas’ agent, a move to Arsenal is not totally off the cards.

“You can never say never in football,’ said Dein when asked if the Spaniard could return to the Emirates. “I know Arsene Wenger will try to improve the squad if he can.” Dein is a long-term friend of Gunners boss Wenger, having been fundamental in the Frenchman’s appointment. — Metro/The Sun.
