adminAccording to Hartmann House coach Bekhi Nyoni, his charges lost 8-0 to Pineland North School and then 7-1 to Sun Valley School before restoring some pride with a 3-2 victory over German International School.
“We got our goals from skipper Obi Aliam, Tamunda Usayiwevhu and Langton Maunganidze.
“In the second game we beat Grove School 7-1.
“Our captain Obi score six goals while Taurai Tugwete scored the other one,” said Nyoni.
Yesterday Hartman House were set to play Ajax Under-12 in their last match on the tour.
“I think we lost in the opening games because we were trying to adjust and the boys we played were a year older and tougher.
“But generally the standard of football in Cape Town is high because of vibrant academies and strong juniors leagues,” said Nyoni.
Nyoni , who is also the chairman of the Zimbabwe Soccer Coaches Association said his organisation would be holding a soccer coaching coach at Hartmann House next week.
“The course is targeted at all teachers who want to improve themselves especially at former Group A and private schools.
“Our course will run from Monday to Friday April 27 and registration is currently in progress,” said Nyoni.
