FAN CHARGED OVER FREE-KICK INVASION

invasionA MAN has been charged after a fan ran on to the pitch and took a free kick during the Premier League match between West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur.A supporter kicked the ball towards the West Ham goal during the match at Upton Park last Saturday, but West Ham’s Spanish goalkeeper Adrian saved the shot.

Jordan Matthew Dunn (22) of Dover in Kent, has been charged under Section 4 of the Football Offences Act 1991.

It states it is an offence to enter the playing area without lawful authority.

Dunn will appear at Thames Magistrates’ Court on 1 September. — BBC.
