Touched by his plight, Alex Maketa, owner of Six Million Bar based in Eiffel Flats, Kadoma, came to King’s rescue and pledged to assist him in buying musical instruments, recording an album as well as holding shows at his joint.
“I was an avid fan of System’s music and when I heard that this young man (King) was finding the going getting tough for him, I vowed to assist him.
“They will be playing at Six Million Bar almost every weekend. We are also going to assist them in covering their studio fees as well as ensuring that they acquire their own kit and transport to use during their shows,” Maketa said.
King becomes the fourth in the Tazvida family to play with the group after System, Peter and Isaac who is reportedly based in South Africa.
Leeroy “Kamusena” Lunga also played with the group and he fronts a splinter called Boys DzeSmoko, which, ironically, was another name for Chazezesa Challengers.
