WARRIORS fans yesterday added their voice to the on going national team coach debate. Below are some reactions to the question: Who should be the next Warriors coach and why?
Martin Changachirere – Norman Mapeza. The lad is good at what he knows best.
Robert Zhakata – Honestly we need a foreign coach who will work with locals from Under-13 right to the seniors. He must be given 5 years to develop our soccer.
Ignatius Nyoni – Sunday Chidzambwa head coach, Chunga and Rahman Gumbo as assistants with Chogugudza coming in as the goalkeeper’s coach.
Monica Momo Sare – A foreign coach will do though I don’t have any in mind. Then Lodza (Chitembwe) and Mapeza first and second…. But panoti cash apo hapana anoda kuuya kuzoita community service.
Chirikudanga Sarapavana – Joey Antipas is the best man for the job. No Bosso, Caps or DeMbare link, he will be neutral on team selection, he should be assisted by Esrom Nyandoro, Ndiraya, Peter Ndlovu as team manager. We can’t recycle failed coaches, Norman Takanyariwa Mapeza is struggling at FC Platinum with all the resources available.
Felix Mbonderi – Someone experienced with Afcon issues…. in the mould of Claude LeRoy or Herve Renhard. But those guys don’t eat patriotism and expect to be paid agreed monthly amounts.
Wellington Nyamayaro – Charles Mhlauri if he can be persuaded to come to Zim. He is a modern coach. Assistants Methembe Ndlovu and Mapeza.
King Deenz May – Bring back Charles Mhlauri he is an experienced coach and he has gained more experience that will catapult the Warriors to higher levels…Chibaba Chiye.
Stanley L Mwaaka – We need a tactician lets go to Germany or France and look for a good tactician there. I think the Germany embassy here can help us in finding a good coach or let’s bring back Pagels.
Jephiter Tsamwi – Foreign coach….OMG what are you people thinking? You want to create another Valinhos saga to ban us from another World Cup? Foreign coaches have never produced results. Even “Fabisch” did not take us to AFCON. Fact! Local is good!
Kevin Chisango – Even if a coach comes from heaven and the system remains the same don’t expect miracles ,Zifa must put its house in order first .
Pasuwa can be our new coach in a new organised and professional system.
Malvern Mutemasango – Institutional change is needed at ZIFA first and foremost before we even identify a potential coach for the Warriors. As long as the administrative side of our game is mismanaged and run in a shambolic manner, we will not attract a good reputable coach and will end up settling for nomadic chancers like one Tom Saintfiet or the totally clueless like Valinhos!
Ady Tawana Munyoro – Norman Mapeza is the right person. The last time he was coach he developed a good team but was cut short by the then Zifa board which settled for a ‘GNU technical team’. A stupid decision which negatively affected our campaign!
