THE Friends of the Warriors say they are still in shock and struggling to accept the death of former Warriors forward Tendai Ndoro, who died in Johannesburg on Monday.
Ndoro, 40, was found dead in his apartment in Sandton.
Friends of the Warriors president, Todd Dzvangajuru, said Ndoro was a humble player who always put his country first.
“It’s sad to hear that he passed on.
“We are saddened by the passing on of Tendai who played a pivotal role in local and international colours.
“He was a humble young man whose talent took him to several clubs.
“We are still to get over the shock that he is no more.
“Ndoro was a good striker who scored crucial goals and he will be missed.”
Wlliam Mahoko, the Zimbabwe Soccer Supporters Association committee member, said the nation has lost a legend of the game.
“Tendai was a true legend during his time, he flew our flag high by scoring crucial goals for our national team
“We are very sad that Tendai Ndoro is no more and we are with his family during these trying times.
“As soccer supporters, we witnessed his rise to stardom and it very disturbing to hear about his demise.
“We pray for his family and we say go well Fire.”
