BARELY two days after they made the cut at the weekend’s Vodacom Origins of Golf, Zimbabwean professional golfers – Kieran Vincent, Stuart Krog and Robson Chinhoi — return to the course this morning.

The trio is part of the field battling it out in the three-day Sunbet Challenge, hosted by Time Square, at Wingate Park Country Club.

They will be joined by countryman Tafadzwa Nyamukondiwa.

Sunbet Challenge has a purse of R200 000.

Nyamukondiwa will tee off first at 6:55am and will be in the company of Jason Broomhead and Quintin Wilsnach.

Vincent will follow at 7:30am alongside Yurav Premlall and Samuel Simpson.

Chinhoi will follow at 7:35am alongside serial winner Hennie Otto and Jake Redman.

Krog will be the last on the tee box at 8:20am.

Krog will play alongside Tyron Davidowitz and Jack Hawksby.

During last week’s Vodacom Origins of Golf, which ended on Sunday at Parys Golf and Country Estate, Vincent was the best placed of the Zimbabwean crew.

He finished in a seven-way-tie on position 11th after a two-under-par.

Krog finished in 20th place while Chinhoi settled for 39th place.

The tournament was won by Herman Loubser, who joined the long list of illustrious winners on the Vodacom Origins of Golf.

Loubser beat Yurav Premlall on the first hole of a sudden-death play-off after they had finished regulation play tied for the lead on eight under-par.

Loubser then took the title with a birdie on the first play-off hole, the par-five 18th.

His caddie Lloyd Gaya was also rewarded with a champion’s medal as part of the Sunshine Tour’s recognition of the winning caddie.
