The event will be held at the Bulawayo Theatre Upper Foyer on Tuesday starting at 6pm.
Prominent DJ Sonny Jermain, who is also the entertainment editor of the magazine, will be on the decks. Brian “Soulfamilya” Bangura will also perform at the event and is set to give one of his soulful unplugged performances.
The event will be one of a kind as it will embrace the love of coffee while at the same time giving city fashion designers a chance to see designs from some of the city’s most prominent designers.
“Coffashion will combine an experience of Nespresso coffee and confectionery from the coffee shop along with exclusively designed pieces that will be up for grabs.
This once-off event will showcase exclusive designs from fashion houses like Melusi Nhengu, BlinQ Xclusive Jewellery, Shadow By Sidumiso and Niki J Bags.
Melusi Nhengu featured at the Zimbabwe Fashion Week this year and he has showcased at a few notable platforms like the Miss Curvy and Miss Zimbabwe pageants as well as the launch of the Elizabeth Chanakira Cancer Trust where both BlinQ Xclusive Jewellery and Shadow By Sidumiso launched their lines in Harare.
The event would feature some of the city’s top models with notable fashion figures including, former Mr Bulawayo, Oliver Keith who is topping Zimbabwe’s 10 Sexiest Men competition list, Rudo Nyoni, who was the first Horizon magazine Cover Girl, Kudzai Chakaingesu a top male model from the Catherine Ruze Agency and Tholakele Dlamini who was a finalist of the 2009 Face of Africa.
“Coffashion is the unlikely merger of two tastes, which are namely, a stylish palate and love of the black brew.
“This will be coffee culture with a twist. It’s also a platform for the featured designers to showcase their design talent and appeal to a new market,” read the organisers’ statement.
