BUDGET airline fastjet Zimbabwe has added two routes to its network as part of efforts to boost tourism in the country.
The airliner says it has introduced a new international schedule from Nelspruit in South Africa to Victoria Falls and Botswana’s Maun to the same resort.
fastjet Zimbabwe spokesperson Mr Nunurai Ndawana said: “We are delighted to be launching new routes from Victoria Falls to Nelspruit and Victoria Falls to Maun in Botswana effective from March 16 and June 30, respectively.
“These are flights that are very exciting for the tourism industry and the recovery of tourism in Zimbabwe and the region.”
Mr Ndawana said they had resumed
their in-flight services to improve their business.
“We had stopped giving food when Covid-19 was at its peak, but now we have resumed. We are now offering a compatible box of snacks for every route; this is to make sure travellers feel comfortable.”
Last year, the company introduced a double daily flight between Bulawayo and Johannesburg.
It also increased daily flights frequency between Victoria Falls and Johannesburg in response to demand.
The African airline began operations in 2012.
