Fastjet Zimbabwe has introduced new environmentally friendly cups on its regional flights, with the airline saying the move reflects both its sustainability drive and its role in promoting Zimbabwe as a destination.
The award-winning airline confirmed the cups, made from non-plastic materials, are now being used for all hot and cold in-flight beverages.
The rollout follows several weeks of trials to complete critical performance checks.

Each cup features designs that embody the beauty and wonders of Zimbabwe, and carries a quote that describes the country’s landscapes and heritage.
Fastjet Zimbabwe spokesperson Nunurai Ndawana said the initiative goes beyond environmental impact.
“More than an environmental contribution, as a key player in the tourism industry, these cups are a celebration of the beauty and wonders of Zimbabwe,” Ndawana said.
“We are proud to operate regional flights to Zimbabwe, connecting visitors to beautiful Zimbabwe, be it flying to Bulawayo, Harare and Victoria Falls.”
Fastjet business CEO and Country Head Donahue Cortes said the airline remained focused on building a sustainable operation.
“Together with our partners, we continue to focus on building a sustainable airline. The introduction of our new environmentally friendly cups reflects our commitment to preserving the environment in which we operate,” Cortes said.
“Each cup carries a famous quote that suitably describes Zimbabwe, a country of vast beauty that is a must-visit for all, which us as Fastjet Zimbabwe are delighted to fly you to these breathtaking landscapes,” he added.
The cups are now standard across Fastjet Zimbabwe’s regional routes, effective immediately.
