THE multi-award-winning airline FastJet has launched a new scheduled flight service connecting the capital cities of Zimbabwe and Zambia.
According to the airline, the route will commence on 9 April and will operate three times a week—on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Flights from Harare will depart at 6 AM, with an expected arrival in Lusaka at 6:55 AM. Departures from Lusaka will be at 7:25 AM, with arrival in Harare expected at 8:20 AM.
“FastJet will deploy a 50-seater Embraer ERJ145 aircraft for this service. This aircraft type is known for its versatility in building a sustainable regional network with the right capacity while offering passengers comfortable seating with generous legroom,” the airline said in a statement.
FastJet Zimbabwe spokesperson Mr Nunurai Ndawana also expressed the airline’s excitement about introducing the route between the two regional cities.
“Zimbabwe and Zambia have a symbiotic relationship that spans multiple sectors. The introduction of this route attests to our commitment and contribution to the further economic and social development of the Zim-Zam region. For 10 years, FastJet Zimbabwe has been a proud part of the Zimbabwean community, and we are delighted to expand our commitment to Lusaka,” said Mr Ndawana.
FastJet Zimbabwe’s Business CEO and Country Head, Mr Donahue Cortes, highlighted that no other airline offers an early morning flight option on this route.
“Our flight schedules are designed to provide both business and leisure passengers with a full day’s activities in their city of arrival,” said Mr Cortes.
“We continue to focus on developing and growing our early morning flight schedule, and the Lusaka departure joins our other FastJet sunrise flights to Bulawayo and Johannesburg,” he added.
