Father (52) rapes daughter (6)

A 52-year-old man was yesterday dragged to court after he allegedly raped his six-year-old daughter.

The father (name withheld), is employed as a cleaner at a local company.

The court heard that the father was staying with his daughter and her brother, aged seven, for more than five years.

Their mother abandoned the family.

It is the State’s case that on unknown dates and time, the accused person raped his daughter on several occasions.

The report was made at Marlborough police as a tip-off.

Police attended to the scene and arrested the accused person and the complainant was referred for medical examination at Parirenyatwa Hospital.
