Father, daughter face 102 charges

JOHANNESBURG. — A father and his daughter appeared in court yesterday where they are facing 102 charges of fraud and theft.

The duo, previously employed at Red Ants, a security company, appeared briefly in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court.

The father is 58-year old Dennis Stephen Klassen, a former director and chief operation officer of the Red Ants, and his daughter, Rochelle Klassen Adonis (38), a former director of the Red Ants’s Cape Town branch. Both of them were ordered to appear before the court following a lengthy investigation by a specialised team of detectives from the SAPS.

“They are accused of acting together in defrauding the company assets and shares,” totalling about R8m, SAPS spokesperson Brigadier Vish Naidoo said. — News24.
