TM Pick ‘n’ Pay Supermarkets will open its second Bulawayo Pick n Pay store today, at the Zizwezonke Shopping Centre in Bradfield.
Formerly TM Bradfield, the supermarket has been under renovations for close to four months now, since the decision to re-launch it as a Pick ‘n’ Pay.
According to the supermarket chain a significant amount of money has gone towards the refurbishment of the new store.
Situated in an up-market suburb, the store has 2 816 square metres with over 12 000 product lines in the store with a greater focus on fresh including butchery, bakery and fruit and veggie.
The new store comes after Pick ‘n’ Pay Avondale opened in Harare in August, on the heels of Pick ‘n’ Pay Sam Nujoma which was opened in April as the first Pick n Pay store in Harare’s CBD.
This brings the total number of Pick ‘n’ Pay stores in the country to 11 with the twelfth store, Mutare Pick ‘n’ Pay, expected to be open next week.
In keeping with the culture at TM Pick ‘n’ Pay stores, Pick ‘n’ Pay Bradfield staff has undergone rigorous training while a total of 13 new jobs have been added to the team headed by Nhlanhla Mpofu as the branch manager.
“Like all TM Pick ‘n ‘Pay Supermarkets nationwide, the Pick ‘n’ Pay Bradfield branch boasts a well-stocked and spacious fresh produce section, where customers will be able to access the best farm produce Zimbabwe has to offer in line with chain’s social drive of promote local fresh produce,” said the group in a statement.
