A 40-year-old father appeared in court for alleged indecent assault of his daughter.
The man was denied bail when he appeared before Harare Magistrate Yeukai Dzuda.
He will be back in court today for bail application.
Allegations are that sometime in August 2020, the man fondled his daughter’s breasts while she was asleep.
It is alleged that the girl, who was 14 years old then, woke up and her father returned to his bedroom.
The following morning, the girl informed her mother about her father’s actions, but she did not report the matter to the police.
The court also heard that sometime in December 2020, the man again fondled his daughter’s breasts and kissed her.
It is also alleged that last week, the man assaulted his daughter with a fan belt.
The court heard that the man had a misunderstanding with his wife over his extra marital affairs.
He then called his daughter and started beating her up for unknown reasons.
