A Chigodora woman accuses her father of introducing her to sex work at a young age and pimping her out to the highest bidders.
Jane Mukwindidza (22) says as a result of the sexual exploitation, she has become the hardest nut to crack among her father’s three children.
All this was revealed after Jane’s mother, Edna Magada, had dragged her husband, Dakarai Mukwindidza, to Headman Chigodora’s court over the issue.
When Jane’s father begged the court to reprimand and stop her from bringing her clients to his house, Jane let the cat out of the bag.
Dakarai said Jane is using his house as a lodge in his presence and disrespects him as the head of the family.
“My daughter is very disrespectful to the extent that I no longer know what to do with her. I have engaged a lot of relatives to talk to her, but she does not respect anyone. She is behaving like her mother who has been giving me headaches day and night. Her mother divorced me.
“It is no secret that Jane is a sex worker and some people here are her clients. I have tried to engage Jane to find alternative accommodation, but she refuses to move out,” he said.
The court heard that Jane sub-divided her father’s property and occupies a section which she uses to entertain her clients.
“She bars us from accessing that part of the house. Jane believes she has equal rights to my house since she is the first born.
“Her clients come here and disrespect me as much as she does. Some even knock on my bedroom window and ask to see her. I no longer know what to do. I need this court to knock some sense into her head,” said Mukwindidza.
However, Jane accused her father of igniting all her shenanigans. She accused him of introducing her to sex work and pimping her out to various men.
“I know why my father is angry and revealing all this to the court. It is because I no longer give him money from my sex work. I used to give him part of what I got from my clients and he was okay with it then.
“Now that I no longer need his pimping services, he is bitter. He is the one who introduced me to sex work.
“I was very young when I tasted alcohol because my father would bring it home and give it to all of us,” said Jane.
Her mother, Magada, chipped in and said at one time she suspected that her husband was sleeping with their daughter (Jane) due to their close relationship.
“Jane and her father were inseparable. I would see them sharing money on different occasions. The money was coming from her sex work. That is very inappropriate, a father cannot support such actions, but he did so due to his love for money and beer.
“She moved out and went to a local bar, but her father asked her to come back and work from home. He should not complain that she is now getting out of hand,” said Magada.
But Dakarai rubbished Magada’s claims.
“At one time Jane told me that her mother was pimping her out but I did not believe her as I know that my daughter is a habitual liar.
“Jane is lying before this court and everyone knows it. No sane father would pimp his daughter for sex work. My wish was for my daughter to get married and live happily ever after,” he said.
Headman Chigodora ordered Jane to move out of her father’s house as she is now a major.
“It seems Jane is the cause of her parents’ divorce because she was feeding both parties with lies. At one time she sued her mother and then on another occasion she sued her father. They both spent days in police custody as she did not want them at home.
“The best way is for her to find alternative accommodation so that this man lives peacefully,” said Headman Chigodora.
