A 46-YEAR-OLD man was taken to court by his father for allegedly threatening to kill him.

Johannes Sengweni sought a protection order against his son, Succeed Sengweni, at the Harare Civil Court.

Johannes told the court that his son is accusing him of bewitching his wife.

“There is no peace in my house now, as my son accuses me of bewitching his wife.

“He has been threatening to kill me, and I am afraid he will eventually do something to me.

“When I told him to leave my house, he insulted me saying he will not leave because the house belongs to his mother.

“He also threatens to evict me from my own house,” Johannes said.

Succeed did not attend court to defend himself and magistrate Tamara Chibindi granted the protection order in default.

Succeed was ordered not to insult or threaten his father.

He was also ordered to vacate his father’s house.
