A Harare man has been granted a protection order against his violent and abusive son by magistrate Tamara Chibindi.

Maxwell Chiparaushe said his son, Terence Chiparaushe, physically assaulted him.

“He claims I have a goblin and it’s the cause of his unemployment.

“He assaults me and threatens to kill me.

“He takes drugs and becomes very violent.

“I no longer want him at my house because I am afraid he might harm me,” he said.

Terence did not appear in court to defend himself and magistrate Chibindi granted the protection order in default and warned him not to assault or threaten his father.

He also ordered him to stay away from his father’s house.
