FOREVER Associates Zimbabwe is on cloud nine after scooping first prize in the Best Thematic Exhibit award, earning both the ZITF Trophy and the ZITF Gold Medal at the awards ceremony Thursday.
FAZ, a ruling Zanu-PF party affiliate said the win was not just for them as an organisation but a validation of the work it is doing in aligning its initiatives with national development priorities.
In an interview at their stand in Hall 1, FAZ president Cde Kudakwashe Musaka said the award indeed confirms that their work remained aligned to those national priorities and delivering real impact.
“As president, I see it as a reflection of the collective effort of our team and partners. It encourages us to continue engaging meaningfully with the public and to present our work in a way that is both impactful and transparent.
The award confirms that our work is aligned with national priorities and delivering real impact. It’s a win for the entire FAZ team and the communities we serve,” said Cde Musaka.
He said their ability to translate the exhibition theme into a practical and relatable showcase, was the masterstroke behind their victory.
“We focused on demonstrating real impact, real projects, and real opportunities rather than abstract concepts.
The integration of community empowerment, economic development, and innovation into one coherent message made our exhibition stand out. In simple terms, we did not just talk about development—we showed it in action,” he said.
Meanwhile, Cde Musaka rubbished allegations from some sections of the society that the organisation was operating as a pseudo security establishment in the country, saying FAZ was, is and will remain an independent organisation that operated within the framework of national development.
“We want to categorically clarify that FAZ is not part of any security establishment in Zimbabwe. We are an independent organisation that operates within the framework of national development.
We are affiliated to ZANU PF in terms of shared values and developmental outlook, but our work is centred on economic empowerment, community development, and nation-building initiatives,” said Cde Musaka.
He said their participation at platforms like ZITF is part of commitment to openness—engaging the public directly, addressing misconceptions, and ensuring that their mandate is clearly understood.
“We are in the process of finalizing a website where our members will be directed to register. For individuals residing in remote rural areas without internet access, our volunteers will be providing assistance,” said Cde Musaka
