GIANT financial services group, FBC Holdings Limited (FBCH), has made new executive appointments, with Mr Trynos Kufazvinei coming in as the group chief executive officer starting next month.
He replaces Dr John Mushayavanhu who will be stepping down with effect from December 31, 2023.
Other appointments include Mr Webster Rusere, who is coming in as the deputy group chief executive and managing director starting 1 January 2024, Mr Abel Magwaza appointed to be the group finance director effective next month and Ms Alice Shumba who was elevated to the managing director for FBC Insurance post effective September 2023.
“The board of directors of FBC Holdings Limited is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Trynos Kufazvinei as the group chief executive of FBC Holdings Limited effective 1 January 2024.
“Mr Kufazvinei is a seasoned Chartered Accountant (Zimbabwe) with more than 30 years’ experience. He completed his articles with Price Waterhouse and holds a Master’s Degree in Business
Administration from the University of Manchester, United Kingdom,” group company secretary, Mr Tichaona Mabeza, said in a statement yesterday.
He said Mr Kufazvinei joined FBC Bank Limited in January 1998 as head of finance and administration.
He was appointed to the board in October 2003 and became group finance director in 2004 following the consolidation of FBC group.
Mr Kufazvinei was subsequently appointed deputy chief executive of the FBC group on June 1, 2011 and has held these positions until his recent appointment as group CEO. —@SikhulekelaniM1
