TWO FC Platinum players, Charles Sibanda and Winston Mhango were last night involved in a road accident on their way to Bulawayo from Zvishavane.

Unconfirmed reports said the two were involved in an accident at Filabusi and were taken to Filabusi District Hospital for treatment. Sources said they were given a lift by a friend, who was also badly injured after he lost control of the vehicle. The players are suspected to have suffered fractures.

FC Platinum spokesperson Chipo Chizondo said she was yet to get full details of the accident, saying she had just received a call about the accident but was yet to verify the facts. The footballers featured in yesterday’s Chibuku Cup semi-final against Harare City.
