FC Platinum take on Caps United

FC PLATINUM vice-captain Thabani Kamusoko has put his weight behind head coach Lloyd Mutasa ahead of their match against Caps United this afternoon.
“We are fully behind our coach,” Kamusoko said yesterday. “We believe in him, we trust him and we love him. He is a good coach and he is going to deliver. Our defeat at home against Hwange at home two weeks ago and the draw against Chicken Inn last Monday was just a bad spell.
“Tomorrow we are going to come up with a positive result. We are going to make sure that Caps United fall and we will remain focused until the last minute and everyone in the team is aware that we need maximum points.”

Things have not been very rosy in the platinum miners’ camp as they recently parted ways with assistant coach Masimba Dinyero.  Mutasa fired Dinyero on Wednesday after a fall-out between the close friends and former team mates at Dynamos.
The body language of the players told a story of a group eager for positive results.

Mutasa’s son Wisdom has been a marvel to watch and has been the architect of  some of the positive results for his team since being thrown into the fray by his father.
In the absence of Ali Sadiki who is attending trials with Aaron Katebe in Zambia, he will once again be given the nod to destroy Caps United at Mandava Stadium this afternoon. His friend Walter Musona who opened the scoring with his first goal on Monday against Chicken Inn will fill the vacancy left by Tatenda Mudehwe who was injured during the Independence Cup final last Friday.

Njabulo Ncube, the crowd favourite at FC Platinum will miss the tie this afternoon as he is still nursing an injury so will team captain Daniel Vheremu and goalkeeper Francis Tizayi.

FC Platinum has never won against Caps United since gaining promotion in 2011 with their best being a draw. “We are happy that Mutasa has blended youth with experience and we are calling for maximum support from our faithful to rally behind the team tomorrow afternoon until the last day of the season. All shall be well,” said Kamusoko.

Caps United whose director, Twine Phiri lost his mother yesterday, will be hoping to continue their dominance over FC Platinum.
