Mpandawana Masango (43) and Thandazani Moyo, alias Faa, were tracked down by detectives from CID Kwekwe after Masango was caught using a stolen cellphone.
“The Zimbabwe Republic Police confirms the arrest of Mpandawana Masango and Thandazani Moyo in connection with rape and armed robbery cases which occurred in Redcliff, Kwekwe on 2 and 3 September 2025,” national police spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi said in a statement.
Masango was arrested in Nkulumane 5, where police recovered two stolen phones. He then snitched on his accomplice, leading to Moyo’s arrest in Bulawayo’s Western area. Police also recovered their getaway car, a Honda Fit with registration number ADU 9899.
