FEEL IT, THE CHAMPS ARE BACK

CAN the champions make it FIVE OUT OF FIVE?

Well, it’s now a distinct possibility after FC Platinum’s fine run in the second half of the season.

They trail leaders Ngezi Platinum by five points, heading into the last eight games, and could pile more pressure if they beat ZPC Kariba tomorrow.

“First of all I would like to congratulate the boys for a massive win against Ngezi last Saturday,” said coach Norman Mapeza.

“I think we really did ourselves a huge favour in terms of closing the gap between us and them.”

“We are facing a very dangerous team and if you look at their performances in their last few games, it has been up and down.

“I am sure after dropping points against Rhinos away, it’s not going to be easy for us playing in Kariba, with the weather conditions.

“But, at the end of the day, we know where we are coming from and what we want to achieve come the end of the season.

“So, we have to put everything into that game and see what happens at the end of the day.”

FC Platinum also had a couple players who were supposed to take a fitness test yesterday, in preparation for an early morning departure to Kariba today.
