FELI Nandi’s latest album “Ndisiyei” is almost ready and the diva released an emotional song last week which is dedicated to an 11-year-old schoolboy who died after he was dragged by a horse during an outing with his family last year.
The song, “Vakaita Sewe,” is from her album which is set for release on Saturday.
The song is a dedication to Tinaye Chibaya, an 11-year-old schoolboy whose tragic death touched the hearts of thousands of people last year.
Tinaye died due to head injuries after he was dragged by a horse he was riding during a family Easter holiday outing.
Feli is a close friend of the late schoolboy’s family.
“The song is based on a true story. My friends Memory and Brian, who are featured in the video, lost their beloved son Tinaye in a tragic horse riding accident.
“His untimely departure left us completely heartbroken and lost.
“We rest in the fact that we know he is in a better place, in the arms of God.
“May all who have lost their loved ones be comforted.”
She added:
“I am so excited about the album, it has been two years preparing the album and finally it is ready, so it is going to be an epic night. This has been a personal journey narrated in songs, I heard a lot of people say they connect with our songs but this album talks to everyone relating to every situation, everyone has a story to pick from it.”
Feli’s manager, Connie Mazani, said the album carries nine tracks which address a number of life themes.
The songs include ‘Tongai,’ ‘Munamato,’ ‘Ndisiyei,’ ‘Ahungasiye,’ ‘Kukoromoka,’ ‘Muranda,’ ‘Shamwari,’ ‘Fambai Neni’ and ‘Vakaita Sewe.’
“Everything is now ready for the launch on Saturday and we have so much which has been prepared for our fans.
“Most of the songs narrate true events. So, we can say the theme is about real life experiences.
“On this album there is some experimentation with some new sound, which is another surprise,” said Mazani.
