The three-time National Association of Secondary Heads Best Male Actor is inspired by different characters he portrays on stage.

He has also established himself as a playwright and director. His first play Behind Closed Doors won him the Best Production Award at the Doug Hill Festival held in Masvingo early this year.

The 2014 and 2017 Isiphiwo Sami Best Actor, a Schools Drama annual competition initiated by Iyasa, is very passionate about theatre thus he wants to be eternally married to the stage as he desires to study Dramatic Art as soon as he finishes his Advanced Level this year.
His skills on stage on playing female characters had people confused about his sex. The actor who is part of arts practitioner Thabani Moyoa��s Centre for Talent Development alluded that the adjudicators once nominated him for actress awards as they were convinced he was a woman.
