FIESTAFIESTA SHOW ON. . . It confirms shows have not been suspended

THE organisers of FeistaFiesta have announced that their show, set for Sunday at Belgravia Sports Club, will go ahead as scheduled after they received clearance for the event.

South African artist, LeeMckrazy, will be the main act at the show which will also feature King 96 and Voltz JT.

The organisers had announced last week that the show had been moved but they have now changed tone and announced it will go ahead as scheduled.

“Show clearance received. The Leemckrazy show is going on as planned this coming Sunday 11 Aug 2024,’ the organisers announced on their social media platforms.

“Get your early bird tickets at Century Mall Table G41 and Hometown Restaurant. US$10 General Entry and US$30 VIP.”

The confirmation that the show will go ahead as scheduled provides confirmation that reports, indicating that such shows have been put on hold until the end of the SADC summit, are not true.

Police spokesperson, Commissioner Paul Nyathi, addressed the issue in a statement on Friday.

“The Zimbabwe Republic Police dismisses social media postings alleging that the Government of Zimbabwe has banned or prohibited public gatherings due to the forthcoming SADC summit.

“This is false.

“The public should dismiss this false information with the contempt it deserves.

“The ZRP implores the public to observe the country’s laws while conducting various activities in order to assist in the maintenance of law and order.”

LeeMckrazy, whose real name is Linda Mnisi, is a South African artist who was born in Soweto.

His musical journey began at the age of five in Sunday school at a local church in Soweto.

“He developed a passion for music after getting inspiration from artists such as Buhlebendalo Mda and the popular amapiano vocalist, Samthing Soweto,” his biography reads.

“In 2015, he started getting involved in the music scene by singing in various choirs which led him to become a member of the renowned Diepkloof United Male Voices group.

“In 2021, LeeMckrazy completed his degree in transport management and logistics, before releasing his debut album, Intando Ka God.

“One of the tracks from the album, “Eloyi,” caught the attention of many. It performed well on various digital platforms, accumulating 1.3 million streams in the first week of its release, propelling him to stardom.”
