All is set for the rare treat for movie goers tomorrow at the première of the “Fifty Shades of Grey” romantic movie at Ster Kinekor, Westgate. The première is expected to attract lovers in the spirit of Valentine’s Day. In relation to this, organisers of the event said they have been running a week-long promotion that will see two lucky couples win a free trip to Kariba on a private chartered plane amongst other give-aways.
Speaking to The Herald Entertainment, Westgate Ster Kinekor marketing manager Doreen Chuma said it is about love hence the promotion is a give-away to the community.
“We are doing something completely different. ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ is one of the most anticipated films of this year, and to match this hype we are giving our customers an experience as unique as the movie itself,” she said.
She said the line up of activities on the night includes surprise guest appearances.
“Being a Valentine’s Day eve, it is vital for us to prepare for the lovebirds so we open up with a red carpet-themed event, glitz and glamour. We are going to feature a fashion show, based on the theme of the movie courtesy of some renowned designers and brand companies.
“We have a live performance by Ngoni Kambarami with free champagne and chocolates for ticket buyers and many other tantalising give-aways. Ticket holders will stand a chance to win special Valentine’s Day gifts,” said Chuma.
She said they are working with some corporate sponsors who have given them hampers and prizes for winners.
“These prizes include two nights at HALA Ochi Conferences and Events for one lucky couple, and two nights at Chimanimani Resort and Casino, also courtesy of HALA Hotels. Four-day trip vouchers to Chengeta Lodge will also be won by four equally lucky couples, courtesy of Dunhu Ramambo.
“All that’s required to enter this amazing promotion and win these particular prizes is to buy a ticket for the première and attend the show,” she highlighted.
She said they will give away a brand new double bed courtesy of KDV.
“Fifty Shades of Grey” was directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson with a screenplay by Kelly Marcel. Based on E L James’ best-selling novel of the same name, the film stars Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson.
