Chitungwiza Municipality’s financial director Evangelista Machona has landed herself in trouble for allegedly defying a High Court order giving authority to the Deputy Sheriff to attach council vehicles over an outstanding debt owed to the Zimbabwe Manpower Development Fund.
Machona (50) of Budiriro 2, Harare, allegedly hid the vehicles from the Deputy Sheriff and Mr James Gumbo, a transport manager at Ruby Auctioneers, who had gone to the council premises on September 25 to attach the vehicles.
Last week, Machona appeared before Chitungwiza magistrate Mr Lazarus Murendo for trial.
