Finding a purpose in life

Your occupation is not your purpose. Many of the things we spend our lives on are rarely our purposes. The question of purpose is the key on whether we are to live a fulfilling and meaningful life.
Many of us go through life, spending our days busy but still feel there is a void that is left in us. Many people today lead empty lives, not empty because there is nothing to do, some are busy high paid executives but still not fulfilled.

Money is not their problem, activity is not their problem, but the meaning in these. Your calling is where your vocation meets your vacation. Your purpose appeals both to your intellectual and spiritual being.
Remember a person is two things in one; we are humans and beings, forming human beings. Humans and beings are two different things joined in one. Humanity points to our flesh or mundane nature and being point to our spiritual nature of us.

Many ignore the being in us, the spiritual person who does not want money or wealth, but wants fulfilment.
Many people in this material world today are rich materially but starve spiritually. This spiritual starvation results in a frustrated, boring and empty life.

To discover your purpose, you have to forget about money and material things for a moment and imagine if money was not a challenge, or if it was not there, what would you do?
What is that one thing you would spend your life doing without being paid? What is that one thing you would do for free? Purpose is God given.
It aligns with who you are not what you want. Your purpose has nothing to do with what is high paying in the industry; it has everything to do with what is inside you. It appeals to your inner man, the all-important person.

Finding your purpose is like finding a soul mate, many marriages are frustrating because many people have partners and lovers but no soul mates.
The same with people in various positions in life today, they have jobs and not callings.

When pursuing a purpose, the question of money rarely has significance, rather it’s the impact that is important.
It’s the result; it’s the influence that comes out of it. It is that impact that then brings abundant resources and money.

You cannot be a high impact person without resources or wealth – wealth usually follows impact.
Your purpose is enshrined in the small gifts that you have. Your purpose in wrapped in the little talents that you have. Your purpose is wrapped in the preferences, the interests, those things that give you joy and fulfilment and those things that you sometimes call hobbies.

People who follow their calling usually commercialise their hobbies and live out of them. This brings multiple rewards financially and spiritually.
As you pursue your calling, do not just look at material things, find your spiritual connection.
Your life will become much easier and enjoyable. Do not be a frustrated rich individual.

Look for that thing that makes your heart skip and not just your pocket fat.
Do not take people’s compliments for granted. If somebody says you have a good voice, do not just blush and forget, take note of such. If people say you are a good leader, do not just brush it off, take note of it.

That may be your calling, if you love and enjoy doing it.
Find your interest, appreciate your gifts, appreciate your talents, appreciate people’s comments, value your ideas, and value your gifts and work on your abilities.
This is the way to your purpose, not that accounting is the most paying profession. The best sweeper in the world is a millionaire, the best musicians in the world are billionaires, it’s not about the path that the world

has made, and it’s about what God has deposited in you.
Hope you were inspired. Find your calling and pursue it. Be the best. Just be the best!
