THE Securities and Exchange Commission of Zimbabwe has authorised the Financial Securities Exchange to serve as the national market coordinator and order-routing platform for the Dangote Refinery Initial Public Offering.
The cross-border investment opportunity is being structured as a regional Depositary Receipt programme under the Committee of SADC Stock Exchanges framework, with the Botswana Stock Exchange acting as the primary market for the regional issuance.
A Depositary Receipt is a negotiable financial certificate issued by a local bank that represents a specific number of shares in a foreign company, allowing investors to trade those foreign assets on local stock exchanges.
The Dangote Refinery public offering opens for subscription on September 29, 2026 and will close on October 9, 2026, with a minimum investment threshold of US$100.
Local investors can access the offer through digital channels including C-TRADE and EcoCash.
Corpserve Registrars will handle local registry and nominee services, while InvestIQ Oak Wealth serves as the lead sponsoring broker and Nedbank operates as the receiving bank.
Participation in the offer remains subject to local exchange control regulations and specific investor approvals, with full prospectus details being distributed to prospective buyers.
