FIREWORKS are expected at Desert Ground in Njube this morning when three Bulawayo Social Soccer League (BSSL) teams clash in the Champion of Champions Cup tournament.
The winner will be crowned BSSL champions.
All eyes are on favourites, Man U for many reasons. Throughout the season they have been in hot form hence from 38 games they only lost twice while drawing five times. Man U scored 148 goals throughout their journey and conceded 45 times.
Josiah “Joker” Kashiri their coach is satisfied by their preparations for this battle royale.
“The preparations have been going on well though some friendly matches had to be cancelled because of the rains,” he said.
Once the games begin Kashiri is expecting his boys to put maximum effort in their quest to become champions.
“As a team we are expecting to put up 100 percent effort and all things being equal to emerge victorious,” he said.
According to the statistics, standing on their way is Ndola who harvested 87 points after finding the back of the net 130 times against 52. They won 28 times, drew thrice and suffered seven losses.
Surprise candidate Bangane collected 87 points after recording 94 goals against 29.
They won 25 times, posted eight draws plus five losses.
In the history of the league this is the first time to have three champions from each group locking horns in this apex event as previously only two participated.
