Fireworks expected at gospel gig

CHRISTMAS is a time when the world celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ. With that in mind, Maridadi Entertainment has lined up a gospel gig featuring Zimbabwe’s prime gospel couple, Pastors Charles and Olivia Charamba, on Sunday at the Bulawayo Amphitheatre.Fireworks are expected at the show as the Charambas are known to be top entertainers who always give high quality shows.

With their Fishers of Men outfit, the couple are a “heavenly duo” with exquisite inter-linked voice notes that blend seamlessly when they take turns to lead the band.

They complement each other well and often bring the best out of each other through exhilarating performances.  In an interview, Tafadzwa Maridadi said they were expecting a full house on Sunday.

“Musicians all over are holding Christmas shows   but a gospel show with the genre’s first family is the best way to celebrate the birth of Christ. We are anticipating a full house and we expect Christians from all walks of life to come rejoice with us on Sunday,” he said.
Maridadi said fans should expect a good performance which will sweep them off their feet.

“The Fishers of Men are among the best gospel groups in the country, if not the best. Fans should come see them in action were they will be preaching the Gospel as well as entertaining through harmonious rhythms,” he said.

Maridadi said there would be a number of surprises at the concert which fans should not miss.
“The Charambas have not been to Bulawayo in a long time and fans are in for a life changing concert,” he said.
