She said some people wished President Mugabe dead, ignoring that people die in God’s time and not at man’s will.
Amai Mugabe said God was protecting the President because of his exemplary leadership.
“VaMugabe munhu anomiririra vanhu, vanoda vanhu, ndiBaba chaivo,” she said. “Vanongoona munhu wese ari hama yavo. Such leadership is unique and only comes from God-chosen people.”
Amai Mugabe said under the leadership of President Mugabe, about 15 000 students benefited from the Presidential Scholarship Scheme to study in various fields outside the country.
Amai Mugabe said people should correct their 2008 mistakes by voting for Zanu-PF and President Mugabe, describing 2008 as a period of temptation by the devil. The period, she said, was meant to make President Mugabe and Zanu-PF stronger.
“Everything good faces temptations to test its strength,” said Amai Mugabe. “What happened in 2008 was a clear temptation meant to test the President’s resilience.” Amai Mugabe said people should not be fooled by opposition leaders who only come to the people when it is election time but forget about them thereafter.
She added that Zimbabweans should not forget the atrocities perpetrated by the Smith regime whose interests the MDC-T seeks to protect.
She castigated Mr Tsvangirai for calling for economic sanctions, saying he is a bad leader who wants people to suffer first for them to vote for him.
Amai Mugabe said many lives were lost during the liberation struggle and some children never returned from war front all in an effort to liberate the country from the colonial regime.
Amai Mugabe castigated homosexuality being advocated by MDC-T in the disguise of human rights campaign, saying the practice is against African morals and values. She called on youths not to use technology to borrow cultures from other societies.
Amai Mugabe said people should desist from violence during and after the harmonised elections, but should foster the culture of dialogue in solving disputes.
She donated food stuffs worth thousands of dollars to the Madamombe community. Among the food stuffs were 10 tonnes of maize meal, 10 tonnes of sugar beans, 2 tonnes of salt and 560 cases of 12×2 litres cooking oil.
Addressing the same gathering, Zanu-PF senatorial candidate for Mutoko Cde Olivia Muchena said people should resoundingly vote for Zanu-PF for them not to enter into an inclusive Government again.
“People were angry because of hunger. But this time we are saying let’s go and vote in our numbers so that we win resoundingly and do not go into an inclusive Government.”
