Fitting farewell for Bishop Mafuleni

FLAMING Word Worship Centre Church bishop, Zondiwa Mafuleni, and his mother, were buried in Dzivaresekwa Extension on Wednesday.

His brother’s wife, Martha Mafuleni, also died in the accident which occurred while they were returning from a funeral in Honde Valley last Friday.

Mafuleni’s wife survived the crash and was admitted to Mutare General Hospital.

Martha was a dancer in the late Chiwoniso Maraire’s band.

Hundreds attended Bishop Mafuleni’s funeral and celebrated his “down-to-earth character.”

They say he changed many lives in Dzivaresekwa.

“The bishop mentored a number of junior pastors for the ministry,” said a church member.

“I want to believe that they will continue from where Bishop Mafuleni left.”

Another church member said:

“We will surely miss Bishop Mafuleni. We are praying for his wife’s quick recovery so that she can be reunited with her children.”
