Five Aside Heroes and Defence Forces Cup final match on Saturday

THE Mining Suppliers bankrolled Futsal Southern Region League Heroes and Defence Forces Cup tournament’s final match that was postponed on Tuesday due to bad light challenges will now be played on Saturday at Grassroots Soccer Football for Hope Centre in Gwabalanda.

The final match will pit Nedbank and Amabhubesi . The third place play off will see Fox do battle against Mictech Stars.

The contest had Amabhubesi, Nedbank and Emeralds in Pool A. Group B was made up of Fox, Mictech Stars and TNS Rovers while Group C had Entumbane Stars, Mzilikazi and Matsika.

“It was unfortunate that due to bad light we could not have our Heroes and Defence Forces Cup final match and third place playoff game. The games have now been rescheduled for Saturday,” said National Futsal Association chairman, Philani Banda.

Mining Suppliers, who also trade under the name Homestead NE Mine or Pay Attention Investment, agreed to provide a trophy and medals as well as prize money for the competition.
