Five killed as Stallion Cruise bus overturns

FIVE people were killed yesterday when a Stallion Cruise bus overturned near Masumo Bridge in the Samende area of Binga.

The bus was travelling from Siabuwa to Binga.

“The ZRP confirms a fatal road traffic accident which occurred on 16/07/23 in the morning near Masumo Bridge, Samende area, Binga in which a Stallion Cruise bus travelling from Siabuwa to Binga overturned,” police said on their Twitter account.

“The ZRP confirms that five people were killed whilst the number of the injured is yet to be ascertained.”

Reports indicate that some passengers were trapped for several hours awaiting rescue.

Last Tuesday a Bulawayo-bound Stallion Cruise Bus went up in flames near First Class Academy in Sakubva, Mutare.

No one was injured in the incident.
