THE man who never loses has done it again! Zimbabwean cricket legend Andy Flower has smashed one of the biggest jinxes in T20 history by leading Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) to their first-ever Indian Premier League (IPL) title after 18 long years of heartbreak.
On a sizzling Tuesday night, RCB edged Punjab Kings by a nerve-wracking six runs in the final. In that moment, the ghost of near-misses and fan tears was finally exorcised.

Flower, who took over RCB just last season, turned the perennial underachievers into champions in record time.
“It’s been sweat, tears, and sleepless nights,” said Flower. “This one’s for the fans. They’ve waited far too long.”
And he wasn’t alone in the spotlight.

Blessing Muzarabani, the towering Zimbabwean pacer, made history too. He became the first Zimbabwean to win the IPL.
He didn’t even need to bowl a ball to write his name into the history books, having joined as a late replacement for Lungi Ngidi. Now, he’s part of RCB folklore forever.
While Muzarabani watched from the sidelines, the RCB XI did the damage on the pitch. Virat Kohli lit up the final with a gritty 43, helping the team to 190/9. Punjab Kings fought back with Arshdeep Singh and Kyle Jamieson grabbing three wickets each, but it wasn’t enough.

Punjab’s chase was shut down by Krunal Pandya, who bowled a magical spell of 2/17 to be named Player of the Match, sealing RCB’s fate as the new kings of the IPL jungle.
Former England star Kevin Pietersen led the praise:

“Huge congrats to Andy Flower. What a phenomenal coaching feat. Well done, mate!”
With this win, Flower adds the IPL to a ridiculous list of coaching triumphs: T20 World Cup, The Ashes, PSL, The Hundred, Abu Dhabi T10 and more. The man’s a serial winner and now, RCB fans finally know what victory tastes like.

RCB are no longer the Nearly Men. Thanks to the Flower touch. 🌸🏆
