FLOYD Mayweather and Conor McGregor took a break from their social media war over the weekend with both finding better things to do than simply call each other out.
The pair have been embroiled in a war of words ever since a cross-sport clash between the pair was mooted last year.
However, the only fighting thus far has taken place on Instagram with the Money Man most recently poking fun at McGregor’s assumed net value ($2.5m) compared to his ($650m).
It appears a ceasefire was called after that with McGregor instead posing for pictures with his pregnant partner Dee Devlin as he attended his coach John Kavanagh’s 40th birthday party.
Meanwhile, Mayweather has responded to UFC president Dana White’s proposal that he and Conor McGregor would receive $25 million apiece for a boxing match by claiming his net worth far outweighs his rival.
Mayweather said this week that he would only consider facing MMA star McGregor for a base purse of $100m with his opponent taking home a career-high $15m plus a minor cut of the pay-per-view receipts. Having dismissed White’s offer out of hand, Mayweather has taken to social media to illustrate precisely why an additional $25 million would be of little appeal to him, given his astonishing wealth.
Mayweather took to Instagram on Thursday to show off just how much his net worth dwarfs McGregor’s, with a picture of the two alongside two very different figures.
