DYNAMOS have been overwhelmed by applications from foreign coaches within 24 hours of firing Herbert Maruwa.
Despite not opening the door for applications, a number of foreign coaches have already reached out to Dynamos availing themselves for consideration.
The Dynamos leadership had resolved to give interim coach Genesis Mangombe room to show what he has to offer before engaging the more senior coaches interested in the job.
However, Zimpapers Sports Hub understands that unsolicited offers have come from a number of coaches, including those who have worked in Zimbabwe before and the list includes names like Nilton Telrosso, Elroy Akbay, Wolfgang Sidka and Mark Harrison among others.
“The club believes the current coach Mangombe has the capacity to lead the club and bring desired results.
“He has proven this before and is a coach who has a clear winning identity. So the club isn’t expecting to bring in a new coach without assessing him. Though the club has received a number of curriculum vitaes from a number of foreign coaches,” said an official.
Mangombe took charge of yesterday’s practice session with assistance from Lloyd “Mablanyo” Chigove.
All the senior players were present while the club executive, led by Chairman Moses Maunganidze, watched from the sidelines.
Dynamos will be travelling to Barbourfields on Saturday for a tricky Chibuku Super Cup first round clash with Premiership newcomers, Simba Bhora led by DeMbare’s former coach, Tonderai Ndiraya.
Meanwhile, Dynamos have 14 days to conduct a disciplinary hearing for suspended second assistant coach, Murape Murape and long-serving manager, Richard Chihoro.
Murape and Chihoro were suspended without pay on Monday and accused of gross indiscipline, insubordination and misconduct.
“Your suspension has been occasioned by your gross misconduct whose charge sheet shall be made available to you in due course where upon you shall appear before a Disciplinary tribunal.
“During your period of suspension, you are not allowed to visit any of the Dynamos Football Club premises, including attending the team’s training sessions or matches or even phone any of the Dynamos Football Club players, technical officials or Executive Committee members.
“May you kindly surrender any Club property , including but not limited to the accreditation card, to the Club Secretariat by no later than 8th August 2023,” reads part of the letter they were served with on Monday.
