Foreign national arrested for hit-and-run accident

Police have arrested a foreign national in connection with a hit-and-run road traffic accident that occurred on Sunday along the Harare-Bulawayo Road, which left the victim nursing serious injuries.

In a statement, Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) said: “The ZRP has arrested a foreign national (36) in connection with a hit-and-run road traffic accident which occurred on Sunday at the 29-km peg along Harare-Bulawayo Road.

“The foreign national did not stop after hitting a pedestrian with a Toyota twin-cab vehicle.  As a result of the accident, the victim sustained head injuries and bruises on both hands.”
