FORM SIX STUDENT LAUNCHES ANTI-DRUG CAMPAIGN

A FORM Six student has launched an anti-drug and substance abuse campaign targeting fellow students during this holiday season.

The campaign, which initially targets the neighborhoods of Kuwadzana and Dzivaresekwa, will gradually expand its reach to other high-density areas of Harare.

Deomancy Nyamugara said he aims to create awareness and provide support to fellow students, empowering them to make informed choices and resist the pressures of substance abuse.

“I have witnessed the destructive impact of drug abuse first hand and I strongly believe that every student deserves a chance to build a bright future.

“During the holidays there is increased activity and exposure to drugs and many students succumb to peer pressure, depression and anxiety pushing them to making wrong choices.

“I’m also employing creative mediums within the campaign as it resonates deeply with fellow students.”
