Former Hwange star dies

FORMER Hwange player Chabuka Mwale has died.

Mwale, 56, died after a road traffic accident in which he was thrown out of the vehicle about 15km from the city centre on the Bulawayo-Kezi Road.

He was confirmed dead on the spot and his body was taken to United Bulawayo Hospitals for a post mortem.

At the time of his death, Mwale was from his in-laws in Kezi, driving with his wife and children who all survived with minor injuries and were treated and discharged.

A family member confirmed the former Hwange and ZPC player’s death.

He said part of the Mwale family was on the way from Hwange and that funeral arrangements will be announced in due course.

Mourners are gathered at 1929 Mahatshula.
