THE family of Zanu-PF Central Committee Member and former Member of the House of Assembly for Bulilima-Mangwe North, Cde Richard Maduke Ndlovu, has been plunged into mourning following the death of his daughter, Ms Sibonginkosi Ndlovu in South Africa last week.

Cde Ndlovu, who was the MP for the ruling party in his rural home in Matabeleland South from 1988 to 2000, announced yesterday that his daughter died in the neighbouring country where she had been working, on 23 August.

“She was my second born and was a dependable person in the family.

“She died after a short illness. She was admitted to hospital on Saturday and died on Tuesday night.

“We have relatives across the country and I have friends all over the country as a politician and I want to let all those people know of the sad news that we are dealing with as a family.

“I must however, say that we have so far received support from the party leadership in and around Bulawayo and that shows that the spirit of ubuntu is still among us,” he said.

Cde Ndlovu said Sibonginkosi (40) is survived by two children and her body is expected in the country on Saturday and she will be laid to rest on Sunday at Ntunungwe, Bulilima, on Sunday.

Mourners are gathered at House number B 177 Njube, Bulawayo.
