FORMER Studio 263 actress, Anne Nhira, who acted as Vimbai Jari in the soap has died.
She was 38 years old.
“She sustained injuries on her chest area, rib cage and back during a robbery on Monday afternoon in Bedford View, South Africa. She was only 38 years of age,” said her brother Juan Nhira as he confirmed the news.
Ben Mahaka, who acted as Tom Mbambo in the same soap with Nhira, described her death as a major blow to the nation.
“Anne was full of energy and always wanted to do her best. I first met her when she joined Studio 263. She was an amazing actress. The last time I met her in South Africa, she was doing so well, this is a big loss to the arts industry,” said Mahaka.
