Moyo has relocated to Mutare where he is doing well with his new outfit Bembera Arts, which is billed to tour South Africa next month.
In an interview Moyo said he left the group because he was not happy with the way affairs of the group were being managed.
“I left Hloseni because as a founding member I was supposed to have a say in the way the group’s affairs were being run but that was not the case,” said Moyo.
Moyo, who won the NAMA 2008 outstanding male dancer prize, said he decided to move to Mutare as he felt he needed to promote the arts in the border town.
He said he did not want a situation whereby he found himself competing with his former group, Hloseni for clients in Bulawayo.
“I chose Mutare because I wanted to do my own projects that had nothing to do with Hloseni hence my decision to move to Mutare which I believe has the potential to take arts to greater heights,” he said.
Speaking about his new group Bembera Arts, Moyo said it was billed to perform at the Masakhane Arts Festival to be held in South Africa next month.
“Im taking my group to perform in South Africa at the Masakhane Arts Festival to be held from 9 to 18 December,” he said . Bembera Arts Group is made up of 49 members, 15 seniors and 34 juniors who specialise in different traditional dances.
Moyo said his group decided to specialise in traditional dances because they want to preserve and promote Zimbabwean culture.
He said he will soon embark on a regional tour of eight countries to engage other groups in those countries so that they could in future work on joint projects.
